Homewood covers 275 acres of natural beauty on the shores of Gowlland Harbour, one of British Columbia's most sheltered and picturesque harbours, on Quadra Island near Campbell River. The facilities and philosophy of Homewood are in harmony with the wonder of God's creation which is evident throughout the site. It is a total setting conducive to the change of pace, time for reflection, building of relationships, and enjoyment of the outdoors you and your children may desire.

Gowlland Harbour is one of British Columbia's most sheltered and picturesque harbours. It is located on the west side of Quadra Island, just across Discovery Passage from Campbell River. Cabins are heated and insulated for winter use. They accommodate ten people and provide a rustic decor.

Tents (June-August)add an aura of adventure and romance to the whole camping experience and therefore they are the primary lodging for our children's camps in the summer. They comfortably accommodate ten people on mattresses on wooden floors with pulp mill canvas carpets. A fly extends beyond the tent on all sides and six feet in the front, keeping them dry in rain and cool in the heat.

The Guest House is a converted staff home, insulated and heated for year around use. It has nine bedrooms, four baths, kitchen facilities and a living room. Each bedroom has a double bed, with two of the rooms having an additional single bed. This is a good facility for small groups who wish to do their own program and cooking.

The Bunkhouse is winterized and very comfortable for year around accommodation of groups up to 24 people. It is divided into two sleeping areas. Each area has 12 bunks, a large washroom area, and separate outside entrances.

The Craft Shop is a spacious facility with lots of room for doing a variety of craft projects.

The Riding Arena is our indoor riding area. It is 120' x 80' and allows year around riding, instruction, and rodeos.

The Barn, Tack Shop, & Okey Corral are located adjacent to the Riding Arena. They provide winter storage for hay, stalls and mangers for the horses, heated storage for all the tack, and outdoor instructional area.

The Boat House is located at the end of the wharf and provides storage for life jackets,  and other miscellaneous aquatic equipment.
The Archery and Riflery Ranges offer covered shooting areas and secure storage for bows, arrows,  and air-rifles. These facilities allow continuation of these activities even in poor weather.

The Bus Barn (floor hockey and basketball court) provides inside storage for our two full size buses and two trucks. It also serves as an excellent location for floor hockey and basketball on rainy days or dark nights.

Woodsman Camp is a remote wilderness camp on Mine Lake, one of the enchanting Village Bay Lakes on central Quadra Island. Here the tradition of simple outdoor living is enjoyed. There are no permanent facilities. All cooking, dining, and sleeping is done under tarps or in tents set up at the beginning of each summer and removed at the end. The site is in a mature alder grove which is nestled between a magnificence bluff, a small cove, and a beautiful point covered with pine trees.

Four Catalina 27 sailboats moored at our dock are always ready to take campers out to enjoy the wind, water, scenic shoreline and abundant marine life surrounding the camp. They are used for short sails around our harbour as well as week long cruises through Desolation Sound and the Discovery Islands.
