Camp Homewood is located on Quadra Island, approximately 150 kilometers northwest of Vancouver B.C. Quadra is situated between Vancouver Island and the west coast of the mainland. A 10-minute ferry ride connects Quadra Island to Campbell River, which is midway up Vancouver Island.
Driving Instructions:
From Vancouver, ride the B.C. Ferries to Nanaimo. If travelling from the south, take the Tsawwassen ferry to Duke Point, Nanaimo. If you are travelling from the east, through Vancouver, take the Horseshoe Bay ferry to Departure Bay, Nanaimo.
From Nanaimo, drive north approximately 2 hours (150 kilometers) on the Inland Island Highway #19 to Campbell River (or take the more scenic coastal route Highway #19A).
Turn right onto the South Campbell River/Jubilee Parkway exit and drive until you reach Highway #19A (second light after turning). Turn left, and take the oceanside route to city center. Watch for signs to the Quadra Ferry. Turn right at the third stop light after turning onto Highway #19A. The ferry terminal entrance is on the right, about 50 meters after turning at the light.
Take the regular ferry service to Quadra Island. The ferry leaves once each hour, generally on the half hour. Quadra Ferry Schedule
On Quadra, continue up the main road leaving the ferry. After about half a kilometer turn a sharp left, near the Cove Shopping Center (small strip mall). After another half kilometer turn right at the stop sign, onto Heriot Bay Road.
Then 200 meters up Heriot Bay Road (just past the elementary school on the left) turn left onto West Road. The RCMP detachment will be on the right, immediately after the turn.
Travel on West Road for 4.5 kilometers and turn left at the large Homewood sign. Continue on the gravel road until you reach the paved road. The office is the large building immediately on the right.
By Bus:
Bus service is available from Vancouver, Victoria, and Nanaimo to Campbell River Vancouver Island Coach Lines Phone: 1-800-318-0818 or 250-388-0818).
After arriving at Campbell River walk three blocks to the Quadra Ferry Terminal. Call Homewood at 285-3483 for pickup on Quadra.

By Air:
Fly to Campbell River (YBL) or Comox (YQQ) airport from Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, or Seattle. Comox Airport is 35 kilometers south of Campbell River and has scheduled Westjet service. There are airport shuttles from both airports to the Quadra Island Ferry terminal in Campbell River. For the Comox Airport call Sky High Shuttle (888-331-4737) and for the Campbell River Airport call Campbell River Airporter (250-286-3000).
Call Homewood at 285-3483 for pickup on Quadra (prior arrangements for this should be made with Homewood during registration). Then take the regular ferry service to Quadra Island. The ferry leaves once each hour, generally on the half hour. Quadra Ferry Schedule
